A Revitalized Residence for a Growing Family in Wayne, NJ
This home, belonging to a family of four (soon to become five!) was in need of some serious style TLC. The previous owner designed and built the house himself resulting in a very unique layout. First, we focused our efforts on the grand foyer and adjoining living room. The ornate entryway was adorned with an oversized chandelier which felt very out of place in a bustling family home. Pheasant Lane Designs struck out to refresh the entire house and add new features without sacrificing the homey feel. We installed all new wood flooring - an engineering challenge considering the unusual floor plan - with a herringbone pattern. We reimagined the two fireplaces in the home finishing one with Carrara and another with cement tile. PLD selected and designed the stair railing, balusters, and front doors. We kept the traditional family home (not to mention durability) in mind when curating & engineering the furniture, rugs, floor, window treatments, millwork panels, and trim. Through strategic styling, we incorporated more modern, elevated touches while always maintaining an inviting feel.
