Euro-Inspired Elegance in Hillsdale

This charming pair wanted to infuse their home with upscale country romance. In this new build, Pheasant Lane Designs was able to start with a classic palette complete with refined architectural touches and finishes. As the interior was already imbued with the couple’s personal style, we were able to hone in on highlighting and honoring that aesthetic. Particular attention was paid to showcasing the artistic treasures curated from their second home of Rhode Island. We wove New England-inspired elegance into the entry, living, dining, and study spaces. In the family room, PLD created all of the furniture including a custom window bench, two-toned skirted leather armchair, and an extra deep sofa to ensure the comfort of the tall homeowners. The chic carpet is indoor-outdoor and can withstand the paw traffic of their two beloved dogs. To boost the visual interest, we layered it on top of a jute rug to add some texture and dimension. The space is lit with a bespoke overhead fixture and custom lighting remained a focus in the dining area as well. Since they often host their many nieces and nephews, we chose a stunning performance fabric in snowy white and gray tones for the custom dining chairs. The clean, neutral colorscape in the study promotes productivity and provides a peaceful home office environment.
