A Meditative Mendham, NJ Oasis

Before this couple closed on their new home, they reached out to Pheasant Lane Designs. The two had very different styles, but we successfully melded their Boho European chic and mid-century modern aesthetics. Material sourcing was key in the full renovation of the master bath. The result is a highly-tactile, soothing experience with terrazzo cement tile floors, real paua shell sconces, and weathered zellige tile. In the master bedroom, we sourced all furniture and window coverings. The crowning jewel of the new dining room is an artistic glass and metal chandelier. The new office includes a custom desk and walnut built-in cabinets topped by floating shelves. Throughout the home, PLD refinished the wood floors, curated key furniture pieces, and selected all of the paint colors. The triumph of this project may have been our solution to the tight hallway connecting the master suite and a meditation room. We installed French panel sliding doors with privacy glass and mirrors to reflect light and create a moment in and of itself in this previously uninspiring space.
