Coastal Chic in Brielle, New Jersey

This family of four reached out to PLD after moving into their brand new home looking to add style and warmth to a blank canvas. The open concept kitchen and family room would quickly become the hub of the home. We ensured that the two rooms flowed together while remaining distinct. In the family room, we incorporated shiplap—a favorite material of the homeowner, and a perfect accent to the modern, coastal theme. While there wasn’t a logical space for a built-in, Pheasant Lane Designs created a “built-out” that fit in the space naturally. The third floor bedroom also presented a unique challenge due to its unusual and narrow shape. We maximized the space by creating a bed with shelves which doubles as storage and a cool lounge area for a teen. We rounded out the home’s aesthetic by sourcing all furniture, floor and window coverings, decorative objects, and artwork.
